Sometimes, customer will require 4140 steel flat bar with length over 2300mm, or even up to 5000-5500mm length. It will be difficult to cut out of 4140 big plate, either because there is not such band saw for such long lenght cutting or the flame cutting for long length will make the cutting face very hard to use. This is a difficult situation for long length of 4140 flat bar. However, right now we can supply 4140 narrow flat bar in long length directly in hot rolled condition. The length of 4140 flat bar can be as long as 6 meters and it will be bundled to delivery.
Especially for thin steel flat bar and narrow flat bar 4140, as all flat bar can be manufactured in hot rolled condition. So, either the straightness of 4140 narrow flat bar or the width tolerance and flatness are all controlled very well. It would be much better than the long flat bar cut out of 4140 big plate.
There is only one limit of 5 tons MOQ for new production of hot roll. But usually customer who needs this length and narrow width flat bar, order quantity would be more than 50 tons. It won’t be a problem for the MOQ. If you don’t need that much quantity, no problem at all, when we have other orders ongoing, we can combine together for one new production batch. Then small quantity will also be ok to supply. Though the lead time may be little longer than usual, because we need to coordinate difference orders and sizes.
